THE WRITE READ in the Lake District

The Pure Passion promotion rolls on...
Pure Passion will be the theme for this year's THE WRITE READ readers' and writers' day to be held at Higham Hall , Bassenthwaite in Cumbria on Saturday 14th July, 9.00 - 5.00.

I've been invited to speak, teach and appear on the authors' panel. The day will be hosted by Leeds poet, James Nash. Other authors appearing include Gill Sanderson (pen-name of Roger Sanderson, author of many Mills & Boon medical romances), Phillipa Ashley, author of two novels set in Cumbria - DECENT EXPOSURE and WISH YOU WERE HERE and Anna Louise Lucia, author of romantic suspense.
THE WRITE READ is organised by Cumbria Libraries working with Writing Cumbria. The cost is £25 which seems remarkably good value. As well as a full day of talks and workshops you get lunch and a welcome pack which I understand will include free books. Further details available from libraries.

It's hoped that Pure Passion will generate debate about modern love stories as portrayed by some of today's leading fiction writers. The project aims to encourage readers to use their library and to change perceptions of contemporary romantic writing by introducing readers to new writers and publisher imprints.

One of the new imprints is Transita and one of the new writers is yours truly. EMOTIONAL GEOLOGY has been selected for promotion as a romantic read on the eclectic Pure Passion reading list.
